SCLLC Opens Washington, DC Office

SCLLC has experienced significant success with clients throughout the United States and has now opened an office in Washington, DC to support recent growth and increased demand in the capital region for its unique mix of services.

“With today’s technology, most businesses can operate and serve clients from anywhere in the world,” said Michael Meath, President of SCLLC. “But the demand for our public advocacy, government affairs, and integrated communications services in and around the National Capital Region has created a need for us to have a physical presence here. This is a significant milestone for our company.”

“Integrating public and government relations efforts with strategic planning, business operations, and crisis preparation enables an organization to achieve its vision more effectively and efficiently,” said Frank Caliva, Senior Consultant - Public Affairs & Strategy Development. “Our unique mix of services and diversity of clientele allow us to see opportunities in a different light and provide unique recommendations to clients.”

Caliva will manage the Washington, DC office located at 1012 14th Street NW, Suite 1106, Washington, DC 20005.

Crystal Smith Voted PRSA-CNY President-Elect

At the 2011 Annual Meeting of the Public Relations Society of America Central New York Chapter, Crystal Smith was voted to serve as President-Elect for 2012.  Crystal has served on the PRSA-CNY Board of Directors since 2009. She will continue to serve on multiple committees and projects in 2012, while representing the Chapter when the 2012 President is not available.

PRSA-CNY brings together communications professionals across Central and Northern New York, providing relevant, cost-effective opportunities for members to build and refine their skills and develop or enhance their professional networks.

Michael Meath’s Regulatory Testimony Quoted in AOL Energy

Michael Meath, president of SCLLC, was quoted for his insight into consumer education and consumer concerns regarding energy choice in several recent articles, including AOL Energy, Philly.com, and others.

Michael serves as a regulatory consultant for the Pennsylvania Energy Marketers Coalition, New York State Energy Marketers Coalition, and Maryland Energy Marketers Coalition. These state advocacy groups are comprised of competitive electricity and natural gas suppliers, which work together to promote energy choice.

SCLLC provides government relations and public relations services to multiple sectors of the energy industry; helping companies, organizations, and industries to communicate clear, consistent messages with elected officials, businesses, consumers, and the media to influence public policy and public opinion.
